Jesus Tower of Hope Ministries enables spiritual growth in a Christian Faith. Our church was formed by Pastor Priya Sohanta and we are a registered charity. Pastor Priya has been a Christian for 15 years and comes from a Hindu background.
We provide a place where new and long-time members from various religious backgrounds feel free to question their beliefs and find support in seeking their own personal insights into life’s meaning and value. The services are conducted in Punjabi and English. We encourage each member to decide what is truly important in his or her life and to make life changes accordingly.
We join with one another in providing, nurturing, and celebrating a free religious community through Christian Faith worship every Sunday at 4pm and Wednesday at 7pm, offering both spiritual and intellectual depth, as well as through other forms and settings including traditional elements such as music, readings, sharing from individual participants and a sermon. We include varieties and variations on these elements regularly, e.g. different forms and types of music and different service structures.
As a caring Asian community church, we ensure that existing and new members have the support of the church leaders who connect with them, to be there in good times as well as during life’s challenges.
We consciously welcome and embrace visitors and new members. All church members proactively help new members feel welcome and become aware of and involved in the life of the church.
Jesus Tower of Hope is educating and helping our youth and adults develop a religious and spiritual basis for living life, with all of its joys and difficulties. We don’t provide answers but help them to think for themselves in developing their own beliefs. Jesus Tower of Hope has members of over 55 people. In addition to the youth group of 24 attendees (Group 1 – 11-14 years) (Group 2 – 15-18years) (Group 3 – 20-25 years). The Sunday School has 17 aged 5 – 8 years attendees.
The church started in April 2007 overseen by Pastor Peter Kamau of Emmanuel Celebration Centre, Weeks Drive Community Centre Tamarisk way Slough. Jesus Tower of Hope is based in Southall and is located in St George’s Community Hall, Lancaster Road Southall Middlesex.
Once a month a live programme is broadcasted on Sky TV channel 832 in Punjabi and translated in English. We build relations within our community to extend our outreach, promote our values, and live out our mission. Our church continually extends our presence into different areas of the community.
